For our Client, an international company from the retail sector, we are looking for an experienced GL Process Manager who will take responsibility for a growing General Ledger team and play a key role in structuring, stabilizing and improving accounting processes within a dynamic SSC environment. GL Process Manager (m/f)
Responsibilities:
- managing a GL team,
- responsibility for team structure, workload, capacity planning and people development,
- ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of GL processes,
- overseeing month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities,
- monitoring KPIs and SLAs and driving continuous improvement,
- supervising key General Ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments and account reconciliations,
- ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial data,
- overseeing balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of outstanding items,
- supporting accounting and reporting processes across multiple countries,
- supporting internal and external audits and internal control processes,
- ensuring compliance with accounting policies, procedures and internal controls,
- identifying opportunities for process standardization, automation and optimization,
- leading and coordinating process transitions and migrations,
- ensuring successful stabilization of newly transitioned processes,
- managing escalations and ensuring process continuity and stability,
- driving process improvement and transformation initiatives,
- building strong relationships with international stakeholders and local finance teams.
Requirements:
- several years of people management experience within an SSC/GBS environment,
- strong background in General Ledger/Accounting/R2R,
- proven experience in process transitions, migrations and stabilization,
- strong understanding of accounting processes and controls,
- comfort working in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment,
- strong track record in team management and people development,
- ability to structure processes, set priorities and effectively drive change,
- experience with month-end/year-end closing, reconciliations and financial reporting,
- experience working with internal and external auditors,
- degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field,
- fluent English.
