For our Client, an international Life Sciences organization, we are seeking an experienced Head of People & Culture to lead the local People function and act as a strategic business partner to the Country Managing Director and Site Directors. This is a unique opportunity to shape the people agenda, drive organizational growth, and ensure the successful implementation of global HR initiatives across Poland.
Head of People and Culture (m/f)
Responsibilities:
- act as a trusted People Business Partner to the Country Managing Director and Site Directors, providing strategic and operational support across all people-related matters,
- lead the end-to-end People function across Poland, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, learning and development, and offboarding,
- oversee People Operations, including HRIS, payroll coordination, HR administration, and compliance with Polish labour law,
- ensure the effective implementation and continuous improvement of People policies, processes, and best practices,
- foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture while driving employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives,
- lead the annual performance review process and support managers in talent development and succession planning,
- partner closely with the Global People team to implement international initiatives while providing local market insights,
- monitor People metrics, analyse trends, and recommend initiatives that support business performance.
Requirements:
- minimum 3-5 years of experience in a senior HR leadership role, such as HR Business Partner, HR Manager, Head of HR, or Head of People & Culture,
- proven experience partnering with senior business leaders and supporting organisational growth,
- strong knowledge of Polish labour law and HR best practices,
- experience managing the full employee lifecycle,
- hands-on experience with HRIS and People Operations,
- excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills,
- strong business acumen combined with a proactive and hands-on approach,
- fluency in both English and Polish,
- experience in the Life Sciences, Clinical Research, Healthcare, or Pharmaceutical industry will be an asset,
- experience working within an international or global organisation,
- previous experience in an SME or fast-growing business environment.
