Construction Deputy Project Manager (m/f)

For our Client, rapidly growing international manufacturing company operating, we are looking for an experienced Construction Deputy Project Managerto play a key role in building of a new production plant.

Responsibilities:

  • operational support to the Project Manager (PM) in managing the full investment lifecycle (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, handover),
  • leading day-to-day coordination among the Investor, PMC, General Contractor, designers, and local authorities,
  • managing relationships and maintaining effective communication within the project framework,
  • ongoing monitoring of project schedule, budget, quality of work, and compliance with HSE standards,
  • identifying project risks, developing mitigation plans, and reporting to the Management Board and the PM,
  • overseeing formal and legal procedures, obtaining permits, and cooperating with local utility companies,
  • supporting contract administration, change management, and claims management,
  • deputizing for the Project Manager in operational decision-making during their absence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.),
  • minimum 15 years of experience in executing industrial projects (including at least 5 years in managerial roles such as Deputy PM, Construction Manager, PM, or Engineering Manager),
  • professional fluency in Polish and English, both spoken and written (a strict requirement for daily work in an international environment),
  • experience in working in an international environment,
  • proven experience in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams on large and complex industrial construction investments,
  • practical knowledge of Polish Construction Law, permitting procedures, and HSE regulations,
  • willingness to work full-time on-site in Gorzów Wielkopolski and to undertake frequent business trips (Warsaw, Katowice, Wrocław),
  • postgraduate degree (M.Sc., MBA), management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2), or a Professional Engineer (PE) license/Polish building qualifications - nice to have,
  • experience working according to FIDIC standards and executing projects under EPC / EPCM models - nice to have.
