General Ledger Accountant (m/f)

For our Client, a global technology solutions provider and supply chain partner operating in more than 85 countries, we are looking for General Ledger Accountants at Regular and Senior levels to join the Finance team in Gdańsk or Kraków.

Responsibilities:

  • managing General Ledger and Record-to-Report activities for assigned entities,
  • performing month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities,
  • preparing financial and internal reports,
  • performing reconciliations and supporting European consolidation,
  • handling VAT, Intrastat and Sales List reporting,
  • supporting statutory accounting and tax processes,
  • performing FX analysis, hedging and revaluation,
  • supporting internal and statutory audits,
  • preparing variance analysis,
  • supporting process improvements and accounting projects,
  • cooperating with other finance teams and supporting the Accounting Manager,
  • for more experienced candidates, the role may also include greater ownership of financial reporting, VAT/tax processes and statutory reporting.

Requirements:

  • experience in General Ledger / Record-to-Report accounting,
  • good understanding of GL and financial accounting processes,
  • experience with month-end closing and financial reporting,
  • knowledge of VAT and tax processes,
  • experience with reconciliations and statutory accounting,
  • good knowledge of Excel,
  • experience with an ERP system - preferably Oracle, but SAP, JD Edwards or similar will also be considered,
  • good command of English,
  • Italian, French or German will be an advantage,
  • analytical and well-organized approach to work,
  • ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
